        研究發現,結合正確的飲食和經常運動,可減輕膝蓋疼痛和改善膝蓋的活動力。
如果你經常忍受骨關節炎造成的膝蓋痛,你就知道吃止痛藥不會解決你的問題。但是結合正確的飲食和經常運動,可減輕疼痛和改善膝蓋的活動力。
美國醫學會期刊的新研究顯示,骨關節炎造成的膝蓋痛,是老年人慢性殘障的最常見原因。但是在服藥的骨關節炎患者中,只有半數覺得疼痛略微減輕,而且膝蓋功能和活動力不一定改善。
威克林大學的研究員審視,改變生活方式是否會有更好結果。一群骨關節炎患者每周運動三天,同時攝取旨在減重的平衡飲食18個月後,參與者的疼痛程度減輕45%。
       膝蓋功能和活動力也改善超過40%。研究作者說,研究結果優於單單改變飲食,或單單運動的結果。
雖然造成骨關節炎和膝蓋痛的複雜機制不是完全被瞭解,研究作者表示,體重和發炎程度可能有頗大影響。發炎是身體部位對肌肉傷害、疾病和受傷的自然回應。
但是隨著你年紀漸長,特別是若你增重很多,你身體的發炎可能嚴重惡化而失控,不僅導致關節炎和關節痛,也造成心臟病、癌症、甚至憂鬱症。
       不過研究證明,飲食和運動能對抗增重和發炎。在威克林大學的研究中,有個發炎標記減少近16%,參與者也平均減重23磅。
你不必嚴格節食或激烈運動,才能對抗關節炎。參與研究者攝取平衡低卡飲食,吃大量蔬菜,以減重10%。同時他們每周三次舉重和疾走,每次一小時,便能減輕膝蓋痛,不需服用處方藥。
