生態工程及工法 - 牡犡殼潛堤防治海岸淘失
這種較非傳統的工法, 在於使用的工程材料及其工程觀念,
大約 10 年前, New Jersey 海岸區的一 Community NGO, 利用廢棄牡犡殼,
使用生物膠 (Biological Gel) 將零散碎細的牡犡殼膠黏成一約 30 -40 公分, 高約
10 -12 公分的塊狀物, 裝入抗海水的尼龍線網袋中,
塊石的物体, 再用簡單的小型船隻, 運至淺灘處放置,
如將物体可放大至重超過 500 kg, 則可放置于碎波區 (Surf Zone), 形成一潛堤
(Submerged Dyke); 這是國外在海岸區作抗淘蝕的較新概念;
