​昨晚, ​看到一記錄片, 特別介紹德國的工程設計單位, 利用各種

生物的特性到海上風力平臺風機的葉片, 及水下的下部結構,

期達到高強度,但又不折斷的要求, 在水深超過100 公尺處，

可抗廿公尺的巨浪; 工程師找到一種爬行動物, 一種印度鼠的

脊髓,具有此種特性;經解剖, 發現骨骼中空,而其內部呈蜂巢

鏤空的形狀, 依此推理, 將使用已久的複合材料, 試了上百種

纖維,終找到了可滿足重量輕, 韌性度大, 可允許折彎而不斷

的需求; 同理, 也找到讓風機葉片輕而不折;

這類仿生學在工程材料上, 己獲得商業上的應用; 其他應用

在建築材料工法, 如不沾水, 止滑等等, 已有商品上市;

另外, 仿葉片光合作用的產品等等均將陸續上市;

 「仿生」所使用的詞彙從Bio-inspired, bionic, biomimetics不等。

國際知名仿生學家Janine　Benyus（ 珍妮．班亞斯）在1997 

年將生命永續的意義與仿生科技做緊密結合，提倡「Biomimicry」

的觀念， 並出版《Biomimicry : Innovation Inspired by Nature》

一書， 於全世界熱情演講，深獲共鳴，因而推動了「生物仿生學」

在全球的快速發展，歐美先進國家已於大學設立專業學門，

如美國阿克朗大學(The University of Akron)已專設仿生學

博士班(Biomimicry Fellowships)。這是一門跨領域的科學，

從生物、材料、工程、醫學、機械、農業等等，皆屬仿生學

的應用範疇。
